This video course covers the remaining notes on the A-string, within the first five frets. These notes are the A#/Bb at the first fret, and the C#/Db at the fourth. It also includes some exercises that combine these new notes with some of the others that were covered in the previous courses.

This course is 16 MINUTES long and contains the following videos, each of which can be selected from the video player above:
This lesson will introduce you to two new notes on the A-string – the A#/Bb at the first fret, and the C#/Db at the fourth. It also includes a bassline that uses these notes.
This exercise has more of a Motown/Soul feel and makes use of the Bb note. As well the new note, there are some offbeat rhythms to contend with here.
This is another rock bassline, this time making extensive use of the C#. You should find that this line falls very comfortably under the fingers.
This is a rock bassline, also based around the C#. Try using your fourth finger to ‘barre’ the notes at the fourth fret. This will keep you in position for the other notes.
This exercise is slightly funkier and makes use of both new notes. Offbeat rhythms are once again used here and add to the funk feel.
