This lesson covers the absolute basics of the technique. The main focus of this lesson is learning to accurately slap the open E-string.
This lesson covers fretting hand muting techniques for open strings and for fretted notes. The exercises will also get you slapping on all four strings.
This exercise is a simple ascending line that is played entirely on the E-string. When playing this line, focus on playing consistent eighth notes.
This exercise features some sixteenth notes on the first beat of each bar. Playing these will mean that your thumb has to move a bit faster.
This exercise uses a lot of space. Space is an excellent musical device in any style as it allows music to breathe. Good fretting hand muting technique is crucial here.
This exercise is in F# minor and makes use of some sixteenth note rhythms. When playing this line, ensure that the rests are indeed played as rests.
