In 2021 it was listed at number 402 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of ‘Top 500 Best Songs of All Time’.

The bassline on this song was performed by the Jerry Knight, a session bassist who was also a member of the R&B group Raydio. In addition to his work as a bassist, Knight was also known as a songwriter and producer.
