This course is 13 MINUTES long and contains the following videos, each of which can be selected from the video player above:
This short video will introduce you to two notes on the E-string – F# and G. In addition to the open E-string, these notes will then be put to use in a simple bassline.
This exercise uses the open E-string and the two new notes: F# and G. This is a continuous quarter note line, meaning that a note is played on every beat.
This exercise again uses the three notes that have been covered so far on this course. This time, some half note rhythms have also been used.
This exercise introduces the quarter note rest, meaning that you won’t be playing on every beat. Remember that a rest should be completely silent.
This final exercise also features the quarter note rest. Remember to use the counting guide written beneath the stave for guidance if needed.
