Product Description

Since its release in 2005, the original print edition of Ultimate Slap Bass has become one of the most popular books ever written on the slap bass technique. This comprehensive book has now been broken down into three separate interactive books for the iPad: Beginner, intermediate and Advanced. The Beginner edition covers the fundamentals of the technique including basic slapping and popping techniques, effective muting techniques, how to use ghost notes in slap grooves, how to use hammer-ons, pull-offs and trills, and which scales and modes are most commonly used when playing in the slap style.

The book contains 63 exercises, each of which has two accompanying audio files, both of which are embedded right there on the page next to the music. The first of these features the recorded bassline for reference, while the second is a bass-free track for you to practise along with. All audio files are also available to download for FREE through the Bonus Content section of this website. Each of the three Ultimate Slap Bass iPad books also includes detailed biographies of all of the major contributors to the slap technique.
