  1. like sex for your funk ear-drums Review by anthony "champagne"pammen

i've had this book for less than a month and i just can't put it down , already my fav trans / tab bass book and i've got over 20 . why this book works so well is the fact that everything is made simple , not saying that the bass lines are simple to play but a good level bass player can be playing some of these lines in less than 20 minutes and someone who has just started out could be playing these within the day . i noticed that this book is now out of stock , if you've missed out on buying this book , ha haa because you've missed the best disco & funk bass book about . 2. A Work of Art ...Highly Recommended. Review by E.Sean Caisey

I've worked in the Musical Instrument Business for 20 years, I've sold a lot of printed music from all of the Big Publishing Companies, I can honestly say that this is one of the Best Transcription books that I've ever seen.
It is so well laid out with good information supporting each tune.
Anyone who is a Bassist or Guitarist that truly Loves the Music of Chic should have this Book in their Collection.

    Highly Recommended.

If there is a 2nd or Revised Edition of this book I recommend that the following tunes be included:
Rebels Are We, Open Up, Real People,
So Fine, At Last I Am Free, Savoire Faire,
    Soup for One

Then then this would be the Ultimate Chic Transcription Book.

  4. Disco Disco Disco! Review by Brian, England

'What a book! A real monster among the disco and funk books. You can see exactly how Bernie the man and Nile kept the disco floors on fire all those years ago and even today.' (Posted on 9/18/09)

  5. Great Job! Review by Unknown Customer

'I just bought your funk and disco Bass and Guitar book, I just wanted to say what a GREAT JOB ! I play guitar mainly rock but I absolutely adore the Nile Rogers guitar work especially his Sister Sledge and Chic era, Its been one of my goals of learning guitar to be able to play some of these tracks ! especially 'Greatest Dancer', 'Lost in Music' and 'Good Times' which I think are the best funk riffs ever!! How cool is it to be able to pick up a Guitar and to be able to play them? (Posted on 9/18/09)

  6. Finally... Review by Mick Hodgson

  7. Highly Recommended! Review by Steven

'When I first reviewed this title I thought it was expensive, but I ordered it anyway. Once I received this book, I knew that I was getting my money''s worth. Rather than show Standard Notation and Tab for the complete song, it is broken down into segments for both guitar and bass (with excellent explanation). After all, most of the patterns in disco music (and most music for that matter) repeat. So why show the complete song when there are only some slight variations (which are also clearly shown in this book). In addition most of the bass patterns in music are hard to hear and this book breaks them down so simply. As they say, time is money. Since I was able to learn some of these songs within 10~15 minutes, the price of this book makes it well worth the cost (unless of course you have all of the time in the world). I highly recommend this book for those that need to pick up the disco songs listed in this book quickly, you won''t be disappointed.' (Posted on 9/18/09)
