Stuart Clayton
Bassline Publishing was set up in 2005 by bassist/writer Stuart Clayton with the aim of publishing high quality instructional titles for bass guitarists. These include the successful Level 42 Bass Transcription series and his acclaimed book 'Ultimate Slap Bass', a complete beginner to advanced tutorial book which has been praised by well-known bassists such as Stu Hamm and Ray Reindeau.

Coming In 2008
2008 promises to be another exciting year here at Bassline Publishing. In March we will be releasing two books: the long awaited Nile Rodgers & Bernard Edwards Funk & Disco Grooves, and KISS Bass Transcriptions Vol.2. We'll also be re-releasing Level 42 book 3, and Stuart Hamm Bass Transcriptions in the new improved perfect bound format.

Stuart Clayton has been a professional musician and writer for over seven years and has been a bass player for seventeen. He has worked as a staff writer for Bass Guitar Magazine for five years, and written seven instructional books for Sanctuary Publishing. He has a busy schedule teaching and gigging as well as contributing to online guitar lesson site Lick Library.

Stuart's main gig is as the bassist for legendary drummer Carl Palmer, of Emerson, Lake & Palmer fame, with whom he plays shows all over the world.

All of the books Stuart has written for Bassline Publishing are available to be purchased through this site using Paypal, as well as being available in a selection of music shops.
